WMBC NEWS - The Newsletter of the West Midland Bird Club
WMBC NEWS is the latest in a long-line of newsletters, once known as 'The Bulletin'. This was first introduced in 1948 by Tony Norris, the then Club Secretary, who also wrote and compiled them; they then consisted of a single duplicated foolscap sheet, providing details of future meetings and the latest bird sightings and provided to members monthly. Many different formats have been used throughout the years, the latest and certainly the most innovative and highly acclaimed 'WMBC NEWS' is designed, written and compiled by the Clubs former Newsletter Editor, Sue Judge. Bearing No. 477 this issue was introduced to the Club membership in the summer of 2015 as Sue's first newsletter and the first of a new quarterly publication that is provided for members as Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter issues. The newsletter is the Clubs communication vehicle, uniting the membership with each publication, it is a most vital element of this Clubs objectives that can now be viewed on this page after receipt of the hard copy by members.
