Indoor meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month - September through to April inclusive - at:
St. Oswald's Church Centre, off Broadwaters Drive, Kidderminster DY10 2RY - O/S Grid ref: SO841779

Sadly our venue for the indoor meetings has had to close and we are currently looking at our options. We will announce our future arrangements on the website.

All indoor meetings commence at 19.30. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and there is a large car park near to the church centre. There is an entrance charge of £2.00 per person for West Midland Bird Club members and £2.50 for non members, which includes refreshments. Committee members are available from 18.45 to discuss birding and branch matters.
The Kidderminster branch welcomes everyone to join its field trips. The branch visits Club reserves and sites of birding interest both near and far. All trips are by private vehicle and car sharing arrangements should be made whenever possible. For field meeting details please use the branch contacts for more information.

Regarding John Smallwood 1936-2021

The Club has learned just prior to Christmas of its well-respected member John Smallwood. John joined the Kidderminster Branch when it was re-founded in 2000. He served on the Branch Committee designing and delivering publicity posters around the local libraries and other public buildings. He always supported field trips and only ill health would deter him from attendance at any Branch event. He was world travelled too with The Gambia being one of his favourite birding locations.

Members at Fens Pools near Dudley will miss John too. For many years, John produced posters for the Pensnett Wildlife Group.

John’s enthusiasm and passion for wildlife will be sadly missed by all who were privileged to know him.

He is survived by his wife Pam who helped with the Branch monthly raffle to whom the club sends our belated condolences.
